Governance

  • give voters more choice at elections by replacing the first-past-the-post electoral system with single transferable vote
  • cease the monarchy in Canada, including the Governor General, Lieutenant Governors
  • abolish the Senate
  • redistribute seats assigned to provinces in the House of Commons to reflect the principle of representation by population
  • modernize the separation of powers in the Constitution so there is more unified federal regulation and less provincial overlap, as is the case with over a dozen Business Corporation Acts, Partnership Acts, Interpretation Acts, and so on.
  • Create a single, written Constitution in plain language
