About Me

I am a lawyer / ski instructor / blogger currently living in Whistler, British Columbia, Canada.

I am a sole practitioner specializing in election law, lobbying, conflict of interest and related matters. You can learn more about my practice and this area of law at my blog, the Democracy Law Blog.

My law degree is from the University of Ottawa. My legal studies focused on international trade and investment law and the laws of democracy, and I graduated with a specialization in international law. I also received a Masters of Arts degree from Carleton University, with a concentration on trade policy and Canada-US relations. I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of British Columbia, where I received my B.A. (Hons.) in Political Science.

Being outdoors and active is important to me and I have many interests when it comes to sports and activities. I enjoy hiking, biking, running, tennis and golf in the summer and I ski and play hockey in the winter.

I instruct cross country skiing and biathlon at Whistler Olympic Park and for the Callaghan Winter Sports Club, and I have a blog about biathlon called the Biathlon Blog.
